DIY Christmas Tree Garland

This simplest ever Christmas garland is perfect for rustic farmhouse-style Christmas decor. It is also a fun family activity, and kids would love to make it with you! I have made the garland in a tree motif, but you could try candy cane, Santa hats, ornaments, or star patterns. While intended as a last-minute holiday decor idea, this garland would be lovely to use on other occasions too. Make it with hearts or leaves or bows, and it will be a great addition to a Winter wedding!

The little trees can also be used separately as tree ornaments or as gift tags. So are you ready to try it out?

Materials:

Steps:

  • Cut the cardboard into as many Christmas tree templates as you require. I made a garland of 10 trees.
  • Start wrapping the jute on the cardboard trees from top to bottom. Use hot-glue to secure it.
  • Place a shiny star or a snowflake on top of each tree.
  • Glue them all on as a garland. I placed them 7 in apart.
  • Hang it on over the fireplace, mantle, or walls or shelves!
